A Brush with History

August 14, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 4:30 pm

A unique opportunity for artists of every level to indulge your skills in the unique surroundings of Willesden Jewish Cemetery.

The House of Life at Willesden Jewish Cemetery is delighted to invite you to indulge your skills in our unique surroundings. Choose from our iconic Victorian and Edwardian architecture, remarkable eye-catching graves and headstones, atmospheric views, or areas of urban wildlife and beauty. This is an excellent chance for you to create your own masterpiece in the company of other artists.

Sunday 14 or Monday 15 August 2022 from 9.30am until 4.30pm

£15 per day to include light (kosher) lunch and drinks

Please bring your own materials: we recommend acrylics or water colours, but you may prefer to sketch in charcoal or pastels (please, no oils). You may also need your easel, sun cream and umbrella.

To help you select your pitch for the day, one of our trained guides will take you on a short walk around the Cemetery before you start work.

A qualified art teacher will be available to answer your questions and guide you in your work.

Towards the end of the year, we wish to exhibit your work in our Visitor Centre and maybe use it as copy for our merchandise.

Advance booking is essential by Wednesday 10 August 2022.
